Ingredients

Chocolate Mixture
  • 12 oz vegan chocolate chopped
  • 3 cups crispy cereal
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Decoration
  • 18 pieces vegan candy eggs optional
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut optional

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Freezer
  • Saucepan
  • Spatula
  • Scoop
  • Tray
  • Cupcake Liners
  • Spoon
  • Parchment Paper

Method

  1. Melt chocolate and coconut oil gently until smooth and glossy.
  2. Fold cereal into chocolate until evenly coated and crunchy pieces remain intact.
  3. Scoop mixture onto lined tray or into liners. Shape centers with a spoon to form nests.
  4. Add candy eggs or coconut while chocolate is soft.
  5. Chill until firm, then serve or store.

Notes

For softer texture, let nests sit at room temperature briefly before serving. For crisper texture, use extra cereal and chill fully. Freeze tightly covered up to 2 months. Handle chilled nests during assembly to keep shapes neat. Add peanut butter, orange zest, sea salt, or toasted coconut for flavor changes. Store covered in a cool place up to 1 week.
