Ingredients

Energy Ball Mixture
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup soft dates pitted
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup if needed

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Food Processor
  • Freezer
  • Scoop
  • Tray
  • Spatula
  • Container

Method

  1. Add oats to a food processor and pulse briefly for a finer texture.
  2. Add dates, nut butter, chia, cocoa, vanilla, and maple if needed. Blend until sticky.
  3. Pinch mixture. If it crumbles, blend again or add a little syrup.
  4. Scoop and roll into small balls. Chill on a tray until firm.
  5. Serve cold or room temperature.

Notes

For softer texture, use more dates or nut butter. For firmer bites, add extra oats. Freeze on a tray first so balls keep shape, then transfer to a container. Wet hands help assembly handling. Add coconut, berries, espresso, or spices for flavor customization. Store refrigerated 1 week or frozen 2 months.
