Ingredients

Apple Base
  • 4 medium apples thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice prevents browning
Toppings
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter or almond butter, warmed
  • 1/4 cup granola for crunch
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut unsweetened
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup berries fresh or dried
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup optional drizzle

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Oven
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Tray
  • Spoon
  • Freezer

Method

  1. Slice apples thinly and toss with lemon juice to keep color bright.
  2. Arrange slices in overlapping layers on a serving tray.
  3. Warm nut butter briefly until pourable, then drizzle across the apples.
  4. Scatter granola, coconut, seeds, berries, and maple syrup evenly over the top.
  5. Serve immediately for crisp texture, or chill 10 minutes for firmer assembly handling.

Notes

For softer texture, let sliced apples rest five minutes. For crispier bites, serve immediately and keep toppings dry. Freeze nut butter briefly if too runny before assembly handling. Customize flavor with cinnamon, cacao nibs, or different fruits. Store undressed slices separately up to 1 day.
